The 2010 Junior Olympics meet was
a very successful meet for the South Tampa Aquatic Team. We
had 12 STAT records that were broken.
Martha Pointer (11-12)broke the
200 free 2:17.47, 800 free 9:54.68, 50 breast 37.26, 100 breast
1:22.55, 50 fly 30.64 and 100 fly 1:07.87
Samantha Scott (13-14) broke the
50 free 29.87.
Nicholas Terrana (9-10) broke the
50 free 35.84.
John Pointer (9-10) broke the 50
breast 47.66, 100 breast 1:40.25 and 100 free 1:28.32.
Dechlan Mercer (11-12) broke the
50 free 31.30.
The
team had 7 Relay records broken.
10 & under girls 200 Free
Relay of Abby Greiwe, Katie Taulbee, Caroline Rossi, and Bella
Kirkpatrick set the new mark at 2:19.86
10 & under boy 200 Free Relay
of Jack Shapiro, John Pointer, Andrew Kynes and Nicholas Terrana
established the new team record at 2:35.61.
10 & under boy 200 Medley
Relay of Jack Shapiro, John Pointer, Andrew Kynes and Nicholas
Terrana set the new record at 3:06.94.
11-12 girls 200 Free Relay swam a
2:03.72 that consisted of Abby Kynes, Haley Hanlon, Sara Rossi, and
Martha Pointer.
11-12 girls 200 Medley Relay of
Haley Hanlon, Martha Pointer, Abby Kynes, and Olivia Kirkpatrick
set the new STAT record at 2:21.35.
11-12 girls 400 Free Relay of
Abby Kynes, Haley Hanlon, Sierra Terrana, and Martha Pointer swam a
4:32.91.
11-12 girls 400 Medley Relay of
Haley Hanlon, Emily Greiwe, Martha Pointer and Abby Kynes set the
new record at 5:12.28.
